HOW CAN YOU HELP?
First, you can switch to all natural cleaners instead of using store bought products that contain harmful chemicals. Some examples of products with harmful chemicals are Lysol Wipes, Lysol Sprays, Dawn Soap, Windex, Pine-Sol, Febreze, and Tide. All natural cleaning products are products that can be made at home within a couple of minutes and they won't even harm our environment or our bodies. There are some cleaners that are safe for our environment and they have an EPA label somewhere on the back of the bottle. The label on the right is what the EPA label looks like. When our team went out to find this label on a bottle, we found it on the brand Greenworks. It was on the back of the bottle, next to the recycling sign in the bottom right hand corner.

HOW DID WE HELP?
Every member of our team, "Washing Wizards", switched to using all natural cleaning products at home. We taught classes at our middle school and an elementary school about our project and encouraged them to start using all natural cleaners. The classes included students from kindergarten through eight grade. We told them to inform others about the harmful effects of most store bought cleaners and the benefits from all natural cleaners. We had many of the kids share the information they learned with their parents. Many of the students asked us for recipes of the cleaners we made and demonstrated in the class. Some of them came back to school and gave us very positive results. Future plans include going to other schools and informing younger and older kids about natural cleaners and how to make them. This will continue helping us spread the word to make this a better and safer world to live in.
